FAQ
Q: WHAT CLIENT POPULATION DO YOU SERVE?
A: I am an outpatient provider and I primarily treat adults seeking medication management and therapy for mental health disorders.
Q: I‘M NOT SURE MEDICATION IS RIGHT FOR ME; I DON’T WANT TO FEEL "DRUGGED UP."
A: I assure you that is not my goal as a prescriber. I strongly suggest psychotherapy for all my patients before medication is considered, as many disorders can be treated without medication. At your appointment we can discuss what treatment goals you’re seeking and how we can work together in determining if medication will work for you.
Q: DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
A: I currently accept the following insurance: U of U Health Plans (Healthy Preferred and Healthy Premier), UNI-BHN, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Otherwise, my office is an up-front, fee-for-service, self-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service and accepted in the form of cash, credit card, or a HSA or FSA card. If requested, I can provide an itemized receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. A “super bill” can be provided for those who need one for HSA or FSA cards.
Q: HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
A: Please see the services page for this information.
Q: ARE YOU A QUALIFIED MEDICAL PROVIDER FOR PRESCRIBING MEDICAL MARIJUANA/CANNABIS?
A: No, I am not. This means I am unable to prescribe medical marijuana/cannabis for any patient at this time. For more information on medical marijuana in Utah, please view https://medicalcannabis.utah.gov
